Our Aerospace client based in Buckinghamshire and Middlesex UK, require a Logistics Operative to work with them on a permanent basis in their Tool Stores. Their products and systems are world leading.
What you’ll be doing:
- You’ll join the Tool Stores team to support manufacturing and sub-contractors in supplying tooling, fixturing, gauges and consumable tooling.
- You will undertake multi-skilled duties allocated within Stores so that the efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided by Stores and associated areas is maintained at the highest levels.
- Carry out daily replenishment of Kanban locations.
- Serve individuals requiring tooling, fixturing and consumable goods and support sub-contractors tooling requests whilst logging details of transfer onto systems.
- Support other sites weekly request for tooling and consumables where items are boxed up and delivered to despatch.
- Checking stock levels of tooling and consumables are correct.
- To take receipt of replenishment tooling and consumables delivered via the Goods In department and put away.
- Monthly gauge calibration to be carried out with details of any discrepancies forwarded to the Calibration department.
- Carbide re-grind tooling.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experts who will help you to obtain a wide understanding of an engineering business, and you’ll develop new skills and gain a strong industry experience.
Characteristics & Skills:
- Basic stores and packing experience gained from a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel.
- Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures.
- Can work under pressure to balance compete job priorities to agreed deadlines.
