The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Our Aerospace client based in Bristol UK requires an additional Configuration Management Engineer to further support their programmes, civil and defence. Candidates need good Configuration Engineering experience, preferably with strong aerospace knowledge. These roles will be on a Contract basis for 12 month initial duration, Inside IR35 PAYE.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Configuration Management functions including product change management, planning, identification, status account and verification.
- Provide support to both existing and future development programmes along with the configuration management CM requirements.
- Identifying technical problems and applying/integrating solutions.
- Identifying improvements and supporting the creation of work instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and guidelines.
- Supporting the creation of technical solutions against customer requirements; input to bids and proposals within assigned programmes/projects.
- Acting as the configuration management support to the CM function on nominated programmes.
- Facilitating and maintaining Change Control Boards (CCB’s).
- Processing Engineering Coordination Memo (ECM’s).
- Creating and maintaining the CM plan(s) within the assigned programmes.
- Management of the product data in the Client's PLM system.
- Supporting or generating test specifications/plans and/or alternate means of compliance (analysis/similarity) as required to demonstrate design solution complies with certification requirements.
- Supporting technical and customer reviews, including formal gate reviews; the creation and preparation of technical data and presentations of product design.
- Supporting the release of engineering design data and customer release data.
Due to the classification nature of some of the projects, it is a requirement for the individual to hold UK residency status. Some element of hybrid working is available in agreement with the deployed team - 3 days onsite with 2 days per week offsite.
Tools: General office tools, Catia, PLM Windchill highly desirable and 3DExperience desirable.
