This is an onsite position, based in Shanghai. Our Aerospace client offers long term steady work prospects to suitable candidates with strong Aircraft Wing Design experience. Strongfield has been supporting the civil aircraft programs in China for around 16 years now. This is an opportunity for candidates that would like steady long-term work on a new Civil aircraft program, whilst giving them time to see and explore Asia and its culture. Our client has modern facilities and equipment, and they respect the experience that successful candidates can bring to them.
We will work with you throughout the whole process until you arrive and are integrated into Shanghai life. Job Description:
- Support research and development of composite material aircraft structure strength design technologies.
- Guide composite airframe structure design and evaluate existing design solutions including technologies such as composite wing structures, load alleviation due to large deformation, flutter, movable surface mechanisms, hybrid metal and composite structures, strength analysis, and testing validation and integrated design across materials, processes, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance.
- Develop composite airframe structure verification plans and evaluate existing plans.
- Plan full scale composite structure verification matrices and propose testing strategies based on program design characteristics.
- Support airworthiness certification activities for composite airframe structures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in development of major aircraft programs such as Wide Body Passenger aircraft, as a lead in structural strength engineering with more than 15 years experience.
- Experience in large aircraft structure development and certification under Part 25.
- Experience in full scale structural verification and certification for large aircraft.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Candidates should be prepared to live and work in China for 1-3 years initial contract.
