Who Are Strongdor? Strongdor are a rapidly expanding, leading manufacturing company that prides itself on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We have established ourselves as a trusted name in the market, known for our innovation, reliability and commitment to excellence. At Strongdor, we are experiencing significant growth and are now recruiting a Business Systems Specialist to join our IT Team.
About the role: We’re looking for a Business Systems Specialist to take ownership of how our business uses systems and tools, ensuring they are effective, well-managed, and continuously improved. This is a hands-on, business-facing role working across multiple systems. You will work directly with users across the company to improve processes, optimise systems, and deliver real, measurable improvements. You’ll also play a key role in helping us adopt modern tools, including AI solutions such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, in a practical, structured way.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and improve a range of business systems used across departments
- Act as the go-to person for system-related queries and improvements
- Ensure systems are well-structured, efficient, and fit for purpose
- Collaborate with teams to understand how they use systems, identifying inefficiencies and deliver practical improvements
- Support users with guidance, training, and best practice
- Streamline workflows across tools like Smartsheet, SharePoint, and others
- Reduce duplication and improve consistency across systems
- Support upgrades, integrations, and system changes
- Work with external suppliers where needed
- Provide day-to-day support for ERP users (non-development)
- Assist with IT support and help cover the service desk if required
- Help ensure our data is accurate, consistent, and reliable
- Work with teams to improve how data is captured and used
- Help roll out AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot
- Identify where AI can improve productivity and efficiency
- Support users with practical guidance on using AI effectively
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting or managing business systems or applications
- A strong problem-solving mindset
- Experience working directly with users/stakeholders
- The ability to deliver improvements, not just suggest them
- Broad IT knowledge (rather than deep specialisation in one tool)
You’ll stand out if:
- Have improved processes through systems or technology
- Have worked across multiple systems in a business environment
- Are comfortable balancing support work with improvement projects
- Have an interest in how AI tools can improve ways of working
This role isn’t for you if:
- You prefer purely analytical roles without delivering changes
- You avoid working directly with users
- You prefer focusing on a single system or technology
- You’re looking for a purely IT support role
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, with the exception of Wednesday which is 7:00am to 4:00pm.
