Trainee AC Engineer

Strong Group Recruitment are working on behalf of its client who are looking for a Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer needed to work in Central London.

This is a permanent contract direct with the client.

Location: Central London (Travel paid to and from site)

Salary: £23,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team and work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in the trade. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior mechanical experience, such as Mechanical Mates, AC Mates, or HVAC Mates , who are looking to develop a career in air conditioning and HVAC systems.

The successful candidate will be enrolled in college in the spring, with a full apprenticeship commencing in September.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist experienced engineers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems.
2. Learn and develop skills in fault finding, servicing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
3. Work on various sites across Central London while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
4. Attend college and apprenticeship training as part of the structured learning program.

Requirements:

1. Some prior experience in a mechanical trade (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar) is highly desirable.
2. Willingness to learn and develop a career in air conditioning engineering.
3. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a keen interest in mechanical systems.
4. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior engineers.
5. A valid UK driving license is advantageous but not essential.
