Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join our team in Derby. This role involves comprehensive safety checks, maintenance, and calibration of equipment, ensuring compliance and operational readiness. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining high safety standards and supporting customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive safety checks, testing, maintenance, and calibration of hire and customer-owned equipment.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately, both digitally and physically.
  • Maintain the workshop and equipment, ensuring sufficient volumes of core hire equipment are always available.
  • Manage workloads effectively, prioritising tasks efficiently to meet operational demands.
  • Provide telephone support to customers, addressing queries and offering technical assistance.
  • Maintain an organised stock of spare parts for timely repairs and replacements.
  • Communicate professionally with customers via email and telephone.
  • Attend internal and external training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Liaise with national teams, offering support and collaboration as required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a high level of IT literacy for digital and physical documentation.
  • Possess drive and motivation to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Exhibit a strong desire to deliver results and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Show excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
