Role Summary
An experienced M&E Project Manager is required to oversee the full lifecycle delivery of mechanical and plumbing projects across commercial and pharmaceutical environments. The role will initially be based in Oxford, with project work across client sites as required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a family-run business that places strong emphasis on teamwork, quality delivery, and long-term development, with clear progression potential into a more senior role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical & plumbing projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Oversee delivery of pipework, heating, cooling, and plumbing systems
- Take ownership of M&E packages valued between £1m-£2m
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure programme and quality targets are met
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and quality control on site
- Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Provide strong leadership and problem-solving support across live projects
Requirements
- Proven experience as an M&E or Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong mechanical and plumbing background (pipework, heating, cooling systems)
- Experience delivering commercial and/or pharmaceutical projects
- Track record of managing projects in the £1m-£2m M&E value range
- Strong site presence and leadership capability
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
