We are looking for a skilled HVAC / Air Conditioning Installer to join a growing and dynamic engineering team working across residential and commercial projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of systems, from domestic split units to large-scale commercial VRV installations. With a steady pipeline of both heating and cooling work, this is a year-round position - not just seasonal. You’ll be part of a team that values quality workmanship, professionalism, and delivering an excellent customer experience.
The Role
- You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining a range of HVAC and air conditioning systems across high-end residential properties, schools, offices, and commercial environments.
- This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is confident on the tools but also wants to develop into a more technical or customer-facing position within the HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, service, maintenance, and repair of AC and HVAC systems
- Working on systems including splits, multi-splits, VRV/VRF, chillers, AHUs, MVHR, ventilation, and heat pumps
- Supporting project delivery and ensuring installations meet high-quality standards
- Assisting with both planned maintenance and reactive works
- Identifying additional works or system improvements and reporting these to management
- Advising on materials, equipment, and site requirements
- Maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where required
Working to Standards
- Safe handling of refrigerants in line with F-Gas regulations
- Following manufacturer guidelines (e.g. Daikin, Mitsubishi, etc.)
- Adhering to all health & safety requirements on-site
Requirements
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)
- F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification
- Proven experience working on a variety of HVAC systems
- Strong installation experience with splits, multi-splits, and VRV systems
- Ability to carry out pipework, brazing, and pressure testing
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
Desirable (Not Essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Experience with heating systems
- Previous commercial project experience
- Electrical qualifications
