Company Overview
We are working with a leading UK multi-discipline main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across a wide range of public and private sector environments. The business has a strong reputation for quality, accountability, and technical excellence, and is continuing to grow its M&E division. As a result, they are now seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the team.
Role Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects across the full lifecycle, from early engagement and pre-construction through to delivery and handover. Based out of the Kent Head Office with regular site presence, you will work closely with the wider M&E team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality and specification standards. The role offers exposure to major projects across varied sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from design through to completion
- Coordinate contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery
- Ensure health & safety policies, procedures, and SSOW are fully implemented
- Monitor programme, cost, quality, and compliance across assigned projects
- Support the wider M&E division with additional and new work streams
- Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects meet agreed commercial and performance targets
- Maximise use of internal supply chain resources
Candidate Requirements
- Industry-recognised qualification (NVQ or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of current industry regulations and legislation
- IOSH or SMSTS qualification
- Experience delivering projects across the full M&E lifecycle
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience within a technical background
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
