Overview
A well-established and fast-growing construction company specialising in design and build projects across the hospitality, leisure, and commercial sectors is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of multiple exciting projects across the UK.
The Role
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual management of construction and fit-out projects. This includes cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and reporting to ensure all projects are delivered within budget and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Produce accurate cost estimates, tenders, and bills of quantities.

Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and package management.

Monitor project costs and conduct site valuations.

Administer interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Liaise with project managers, site teams, and supply chain partners.

Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.

Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Requirements

Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within construction, fit-out, or design & build.

Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT forms.

Excellent financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred.
