A long established DMC specialising in corporate groups coming to the UK from an internal client base seeks Event & Conference Planner & Designer to handle all planning for visiting incentives, conferences and events coming to the UK & Ireland. Working within the 5 star hotel and luxury venue sector you will liaise daily with suppliers such as venues, hotels, transport, caterers, AV companies, entertainment and team building companies. Your experience must including quoting groups for the MICE market business to the UK and have a good knowledge of the main cities in the UK and Ireland a strong knowledge of 5 star hotels will be useful but we could consider candidates who have 3 & 4 star hotel knowledge who want to grow into the luxury market. There will be UK travel including a lot of attending events in London and the South East to be on site when the groups are here. Fluency in English is essential and a 2nd European language especially Spanish would be useful. Your role will involve planning and negotiation rates and developing product ideas for Conference, Events and Incentives travelling to the UK & Ireland from many overseas destinations. You will then operate the event and be on site to ensure suppliers are providing the right services and to be the point of contact to the client.
