Joining our bank team of Housekeeping Assistants at Platters Farm Lodge in Rainham, Gillingham we can offer the following:

If you take pride in making sure your surroundings are kept to an excellent standard and have a strong interest in adult care services, then you could be just the perfect person we're looking for. This role is on a bank contract, offering flexible working and hours, as required.

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will:

  • Ensure that the home area is cleaned to the required standard.
  • Support and encourage people who use our services to maintain their personal space in an appropriate and homely manner.
  • Provide a cleaning and housekeeping service to a high standard such that the home is clean and has a healthy and welcoming environment.
  • Support as required, all housekeeping tasks.


Generally shifts are either 07:-00 - 14:30 or 07:00 - 11:00, but there are times this may vary.

Platters Farm Lodge offers short breaks, respite, rehabilitation, and long-stay facility for adults in Rainham, Medway. Individuals can live at Platters Farm Lodge on a long-term basis. The service also provides people with dementia related care and support. For some people, the fun and nurturing environment of Platters Farm Lodge is their permanent home. The service is vibrant, socially warm, and inviting for the individual and their family and friends. For further information, go to:


Platters Farm Lodge provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. Our ideal Housekeeping Assistant will:

  • Have cleaning experience, not necessarily gained through employment.
  • Be able to read and understand instructions, especially the correct use of chemicals.
  • Be flexible to cover the shifts required by the post.
  • Have the ability to communicate with most service users.
  • Be willing and interested in working in a caring environment and supporting service users.


Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you already have experience of working in a care home environment.
