We are looking for a Care and Support Worker to join our Lifestyles Community Services team, supporting individuals to live with greater independence, wellbeing and choice in line with their goals and aspirations.
This role is based within Lifestyles Community Services in Herne, with sleep night shifts available in both Herne and Faversham. Typical sleep night hours are 21:00 to 09:00. You will provide high-quality physical, emotional and social support, helping service users with personal care, daily living skills, meals, moving safely, community involvement and building confidence and independence.

What you’ll be doing
• Providing person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs and choices
• Supporting with personal care, dressing, hygiene and nutrition
• Helping individuals develop life skills, confidence and independence
• Monitoring wellbeing and reporting changes or concerns appropriately
• Keeping accurate records and contributing to a high standard of care
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other stakeholders
Sleep night shift details
Sleep night shifts run from 21:00 to 09:00. Standard hourly rate is paid from 21:00 to 22:30 and from 07:30 to 09:00, plus a flat rate payment of £61.80 for the 9-hour sleep. Based on current rates, this includes 3 hours paid at £12.87 per hour in addition to the sleep rate.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in adult care who is honest, trustworthy, flexible and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
You’ll need to communicate clearly, respect confidentiality and be comfortable working in a person-centred way, taking direction from the people you support.
A Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable, or a willingness to work towards it within 12 months of starting in post.
Previous caring experience is welcome, whether gained in work or elsewhere.
