Our client is a leading 3PL in the UK and we are delighted to assist them in their search for a Warehouse Shift Manager at their RDC in Kettering, Northamptonshire, on a 4on, 4off shift basis (12hour shift, 7pm-7am). Reporting into the Warehouse Manager, you will be expected to manage the day to day running of your shift to achieve site KPIs, providing leadership and direction, driving a culture of continuous improvement (CI).
Key Responsibilities as Warehouse Supervisor:
- Establish, monitor and maintain agreed performance levels for all warehouse activity
- Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
- Strong system control, ensuring adjustments are fully understood and reported
- Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site
- Ensuring efficient and effective delivery and implementation of all aspects of Clients operational requirements
- Maintenance and management of WMS
- Organising Training activities/scheduling
- HACCP awareness
- BRC awareness
- Effectively controlling goods in and goods out
- Quality Control
- Unloading and loading of vehicles
- Maintain a safe working environment which complies with aspects of the company H&S procedures
- Monitor agreed performance levels for all warehouse/related activity
- Promoting an effective working environment building a diverse, well-balanced team.
- Ensure all environmental control measures are in place and are effective
- Work closely with the site, customer and supplier stock teams ensuring clarity and consistency in all we do
- Communicate effectively with all departments on site
Ideal person for Warehouse Supervisor:
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- MHE – Reach / Counterbalance / PPT licenses required
- A professional manner
- Supervisor / Man Management skills, and be able to lead and motivate a team.
- Good computer literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
