Engineering Buyer – £32k + excellent bens + prospects Location : West Cornwall Monday – Thurs, 08:30 – 16:30 Friday 08:30 – 15:30 (39hrs) Our client: An internationally renowned engineering company who continue to grow at a rapid pace. As part of their expansion & process improvement there now exists a new role for an experienced buyer. Summary: To provide a point of contact with controlled, measured and reportable procurement services to all departments within the company. Develop and maintain the purchase order environments ensuring timely and accurate information Procurement of goods through the issue of purchase orders, at best cost and lead time to aid the business Controlling and maintaining supplier relationships, including effective cost negotiations Carry out and communicate monthly spend analysis to the business Set annual spend reduction projects to target spend cost centres Liaise with finance team to ensure supplier invoices can be processed timely and accurately Purchase order processing for the company within the approved purchase limits Ensure purchases are received within agreed delivery timeframes and communicate to all stakeholders Management of stock and monthly ordering to ensure seamless just in time availability Support operations manager and senior leadership team on projects as required Obtain quotations from suppliers and respond to all departments within 4 working hours . Ideal candidate: Proven buyer / procurement professional Process driven approach to working Attention to detail on process flow and reporting A clear understanding of the use of KPIS to monitor performance Accurate and working to tight deadline Strong IT skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint A good understanding of ERP’s and purchasing software Analytic eye, able to soot issues and resolve them or elevate them to the correct platform Excellent organisational skills required, time management and availability are critical KPI driven & able to demonstrate: • Invoice cycle time • Spend VS Budget • Supplier Reviews/audits carried out • Savings VS targets This is a fantastic opportunity – we look forward to your application.
