Assistant Warehouse Manager Upto £40k + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Lancashire Our client is a leading Ecommerce Distributor with big growth plans. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse professional as they look to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager at their site in Preston, Lancashire, on a Sunday to Thursday basis (0800hrs – 1630hrs). Reporting into the General Manager and with responsibility for 25FTEs within the operation, you will be expected to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Key Accountabilities as Assistant Warehouse Manager: * Maintaining warehouse standards * Ensuring quality standards around the Pick&Pack function are met * Communicate job expectations and coach employees * Determine staffing levels and assign workload * Preparing the warehouse for future challenges * Organising collections * Motivate staff and get the best out of their team * Co-ordinating deliveries for intake, monitoring space requirements * Hands on when required to ensure tasks are completed * KPI reporting The Ideal Person for the Assistant Warehouse Manager role: * Proven management experience with a strong customer service background * Familiar with SAP or other ERP systems * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel * Organisational skills and the ability to work well on your own initiative or as part of a team * Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work under pressure * Attention to detail with excellent numeracy and literacy skills, accuracy is critical * Technically minded with a proven track record of working meticulously & accurately * Self-motivated and team oriented * Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal This is a fantastic opportunity – we look forward to your application.
