Our client is a leading provider of Home and Garden products to the retail sector. We are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Warehouse professional as they look to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader at their site in Leeds on a Monday to Thursday basis (1730hrs – 04000hrs).

This is a hands-on role, where you’ll lead a team of operatives, to ensure vehicles are loaded correctly, orders are picked accurately, and supplier deliveries are put away swiftly.

Key Accountabilities as Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Lead a small team of colleagues (5) covering a variety of warehouse tasks
  • Manage team performance and output
  • Ensure all vehicles are correctly loaded and paperwork is completed accurately
  • Organise replenishment of pick faces from supplier deliveries or overstock
  • Ensure attention to detail when checking off goods and supplier paperwork
  • Oversee the safe operation of various forklifts and pallet trucks
  • Check accuracy on a small number of customer orders
  • Promote safe working practices and take responsibility for all Health & Safety on shift
  • Responsible for site security and keyholding overnight

The Ideal Person for the Warehouse Team Leader:

  • Must have team leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • Qualifications for Flexi / Pivot FLT or Counterbalance FLT desirable
  • Experience with PPT operations preferred
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Health & Safety conscious and proactive approach to tasks
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliablewith a strong work ethic, to get the best from your team
