Our client is a niche FMCG Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport professional as they look to recruit a Transport Co-Ordinator at their site in Wrexham.
Working in a small team, reporting into the Transport Manager in the UK, this role will require a candidate with strong communication skills both via email and telephone. The role will include management of Transport orders and Warehouse schedules with coordinating deliveries and updating the internal system/s to align data.
Key Accountabilities as Transport Co-Ordinator:
- Book Transport for orders with external partner/s
- Co-ordinate collections and deliveries with external supplier/s
- Co-ordinate delivery information and align with our internal system/s
- Share daily / Weekly Schedule updates to Warehouse/s and actively monitor any changes, keeping all parties informed.
- Upload documents relating to Transport orders into our system
The Ideal Person for the Transport Co-Ordinator role:
- Strong Communication & I.T Skills
- Organizational skills
- Strong understanding of supply chain management
- Minimum 2 years work experience in Transport or Multi-temp Logistics
- Some understanding of logistics software
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work within a team
- Geographical knowledge of Europe and UK
- Understanding of Customs processes for inter-continental trade. Candidates should be familiar with requirements around import / export and transit documents.
