Our client is a leading FMCG Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Stock & Inventory professional as they look to recruit a Stock Manager at their site in Bedford.
Reporting into the General Manager, you will be expected to lead the operations of the Stock, PI and Goods In departments in line with finance targets and legal compliance, whilst achieving service excellence to internal and external customers, delivered through effective engaging and motivational leadership.
Key Accountabilities as Stock Manager:
- Manage all aspects of the count PI cycles.
- Monitor all date sensitive stock daily, detailing appropriate information accurately on relevant central replenishment at risk databases, escalating to operational management in a timely manner.
- Conduct quality investigations to ensure all Customer credits correctly identify root causes and distribute findings to relevant departments.
- Monitor daily stock loss reports in line with daily budgeted stock loss, to identify and highlight positive / minus stock adjustments and work collaboratively with wider teams to reduce damage and ensure cost and customer availability KPI’s are met.
- Lead a team and create an engaging environment encouraging direct reports to drive performance through a balanced approach of recognition and managing performance against agreed KPI’s.
The Ideal Person for the Stock Manager role:
- Experience of managing Stock & Inventory in a FMCG Warehousing environment.
- Effective planning and communication skills.
- Excellent People Leadership skills.
- Evidence of effective people management and leadership.
- Ability to think strategically in order to make improvements to the service offering, with a superb track record in Change management.
- Sound communication skills.
