This role presents a genuine opportunity to take ownership of an existing account base, develop relationships, expand product ranges and drive new business across the region. • Develop and grow revenue within existing merchant and independent stockist partners including networks and regional builders' merchants
  • Expand product ranges within accounts through upselling and cross‑selling opportunities
  • Prospect and open new merchant and trade stockist accounts across the South, South East and South West
  • Build relationships with landscape contractors and driveway installers to drive specification demand through merchant partners
  • Attend trade shows, merchant open days, and landscaping industry events across the territory
  • Maintain accurate account records, visit logs, and pipeline activity within CRM
  • Provide weekly territory performance updates, including sales activity, revenue trends and market intelligence

What Success Looks Like

Within 6 Months

  • All existing accounts visited and assessed with a clear view of active, dormant, and growth opportunities
  • Increase in reorder frequency and order value across existing accounts
  • At least 10 new stockist accounts opened within the territory

Within 12 Months

  • The South territory making a significant contribution to wholesale revenue
  • Growth within existing accounts through expanded product ranges and higher purchase frequency
  • A consistent pipeline of new merchant partners and stockists being opened

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Minimum 3+ years field sales experience within building products, landscaping supplies, drainage, or a related sector
  • Proven experience managing and growing an established territory of accounts
  • Comfortable building relationships with branch managers and trade counter buyers at both independent and national merchants
  • Highly organised and structured in territory planning and call cycles
  • Strong commercial mindset with a focus on revenue growth
  • Clean full UK driving licence
