Company Overview

Strive Gaming is in a state of hyper-growth, and there has never been a better time to join. We are the first iGaming platform business specifically engineered to satisfy the modern, multi-state requirements of North American operators, with a core focus on performance at scale. Through our proprietary, cutting-edge player platform technology and our unique value driver—the Infinity Rules Engine—Strive Gaming is becoming the market leader across the US and Canada. We are GLI-33 & GLI-19 certified and licensed in multiple states.

Role Summary

As the Senior Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Strive Gaming’s operational excellence across our active North American jurisdictions. Moving past the initial market-entry phase, your focus will shift toward driving robust release and change management processes, leading incident response protocols, and navigating complex relationships with US regulators. You will serve as the bridge between our technical product teams and state gaming boards, ensuring that every product rollout, platform update, and unexpected incident is handled with flawless compliance execution. Fully Remote based in the UK or Malta.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Relationship & Scenario Management: Act as the primary, authoritative liaison for US state regulators, handling complex inquiries, audits, and sensitive regulatory scenarios with diplomacy and precision. Manage, review, and ensure absolute consistency for all regular and ad-hoc reporting submitted to gaming authorities across all active jurisdictions. Lead the response strategy for regulatory inquiries, data requests, and formal investigations, ensuring Strive Gaming's interests are protected and compliance is maintained. Stay ahead of evolving rules and technical standards within our existing states to proactively advise the business on operational impacts.
  • Release & Change Management Compliance: Own the compliance gatekeeping process for product releases, feature deployments, and platform updates, ensuring 100% alignment with GLI-33 standards and state-specific technical rules. Collaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to review change logs, assess regulatory risk, and sign off on deployments within a fast-paced CI/CD environment. Manage the submission and approval process for software modifications with independent testing labs (ITLs) and state regulatory tech branches.
  • Incident Management & Mitigation: Lead the compliance response for technical and operational incidents, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent self-reporting to US regulators when required. Partner with security and technical teams to conduct thorough root-cause analyses (RCAs) following compliance breaches or system outages. Draft detailed incident reports and remediation plans for regulatory submission, demonstrating robust corrective actions to minimize corporate liability.
  • Core Governance & Compliance Culture: Oversee internal compliance controls and support internal audits of our Information Security Management System (ISMS) to maintain ISO 27001 and GLI-33 certifications. Continuously update and refine internal policies, operational workflows, and documentation to reflect the highest standards of regulatory compliance. Deputize for the Head of Department and foster a proactive "compliance-first" culture across the broader global organization. Support the operations team on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and player dispute escalations as required.

Your Skills and Experience

  • US iGaming Expertise: Minimum of 4–5 years of direct compliance experience within the North American iGaming or sports betting industry (B2B platform experience is highly preferred).
  • Regulator Track Record: Proven, hands-on experience directly managing relationships and resolving complex scenarios with US gaming regulators (e.g., NJ DGE, PGCB, MGCB, etc.).
  • Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of technical compliance, including GLI-33 standards, change control frameworks, and release management in a cloud-based software environment.
  • Incident Response Command: Demonstrated experience leading incident management processes, conducting post-mortems, and drafting regulatory disclosures under tight deadlines.
  • Soft Skills: High levels of pragmatism, exceptional situational judgment, and the communication skills required to inspire confidence in both internal executive stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Adaptability: A natural thrive-in-the-chaos mindset suited for a high-growth tech environment where change is constant.
