Who we areAbout StripeStripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies, from the world's largest enterprises to ambitious startups, use Stripe to accept payments, manage their businesses, and grow their revenue. You'll have an opportunity to help put the global economy within everyone's reach. About the teamThe Foreign Exchange team builds the products and infrastructure that help Stripe users operate across currencies. Finance teams must decide what to hold, when to convert, how to manage currency exposure, and how to reconcile the results. Today, these workflows often span banks, spreadsheets, treasury systems, and specialist FX providers. We sit at the center of the payments, Billing, balances, payouts, and settlement flows that create a business's currency needs. Our vision is to make Stripe the financial home for businesses operating internationally, with a unified offering for holding, converting, and managing currencies and FX risk. A core part of this vision is making currency management agentic. We believe software agents will increasingly help businesses understand their FX position, recommend actions, and manage currencies within defined policies and controls. Our goal is to make Stripe the currency-management layer that both people and agents can build on. What you'll doWe're looking for a Product Manager to build a new area of Stripe's FX and currency-management offering. This is a zero-to-one product role at the intersection of FX, treasury, and agentic AI. You will help define what agentic currency management should look like. That could mean Stripe-native agents that understand exposure, recommend actions, and execute within customer-defined policies. It could also mean enabling customers' own agents to use Stripe's FX infrastructure to understand balances, obtain pricing, manage risk, execute transactions, and reconcile the results. You will work directly with globally operating businesses to understand their most important currency-management problems. Today, treasury teams assemble exposures from multiple systems, determine hedge requirements, monitor changing positions, request pricing, execute trades, and reconcile the results. You might build products that combine Stripe's real-time view of payments, balances, and settlement activity with customer forecasts and policies to identify exposures and recommend actions. You might also define the APIs, permissions, controls, and financial primitives that allow customer or third-party agents to safely take those actions through Stripe. You will determine which intelligence Stripe should provide directly, which capabilities we should expose for others to build on, where humans should remain in the decision loop, and how we evaluate whether agents are making good decisions. Your product area could also include automated conversion and balance policies, recurring currency-management workflows, or capabilities distributed through Connect. You will work closely with Engineering and Design on product experiences, APIs, data models, agent behavior, controls, and system reliability. You will also partner with Treasury, Risk, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product Marketing to ensure the products are economically sound, operationally scalable, and ready for customers. ResponsibilitiesDeeply understand how global businesses and platforms manage currencies, including holding, converting, forecasting, hedging, and reconciliation. Partner closely with Engineering and Design to build simple, reliable products across user experiences, APIs, data models, and financial infrastructure. Work across Treasury, Risk, Legal, Finance, Sales, and Product Marketing to ensure products are economically sound, operationally scalable, and successful with customers. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Experience building financial infrastructure, enterprise software, APIs, regulated products, AI-native products, or similarly complex systems. Strong technical judgment and experience partnering with engineers on APIs, data flows, reliability, and system behavior. Strong customer instincts and experience translating complex financial or operational workflows into simple, scalable products. Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain product decisions, risks, and tradeoffs across technical and nontechnical teams. Preferred qualificationsExperience with foreign exchange, multi-currency products, treasury, cross-border money movement, hedging, or financial risk management. Experience building AI-native or agentic products, especially systems that can recommend or take actions within defined controls. Experience building products for finance or treasury teams at globally operating businesses. Experience with API-first, configurable, or automated financial products. Familiarity with the economics, accounting, liquidity, regulatory, or operational considerations involved in FX products.
