Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The UK Commercial New Business team focuses on acquiring new mid-market customers (companies with 100 to 1,000 employees). This team of core AEs are responsible for selling the full suite of Stripe products, acting as the primary point of contact for prospective new users. This team works closely with cross-functional teams including product sales specialists, solution architects, channel & alliances, deal pricing, SDR and many more.

What you’ll do

  • As an Account Executive, you’ll source and close new business, execute outbound pipeline generation with support from sales development representatives and field marketing, and run end-to-end sales cycles to bring new customers onto Stripe.
  • You’ll play a critical role in expanding Stripe’s reach by identifying high-potential prospects and converting them into long-term users of our platform.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential prospective users and use effective prospecting strategies to generate pipeline that drives net-new revenue growth in your territory.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new customers and drive adoption of Stripe products across new accounts.
  • Identify and understand users’ pain points, propose Stripe solutions, and own the full sales cycle from business case development to close and activation.
  • Build relationships with prospective users to understand their priorities and guide them through the sales process.
  • Work cross-functionally to solve user pain points and improve our product to better serve new customer needs.

Who you are

We’re looking for a high-performing, well-rounded, AI-fluent seller with proven new-business sales experience. AEs who thrive in this role enjoy building, have a structured approach to pipeline generation, and have demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity and operating in a high-growth environment. If you're hungry, persistent, and willing to roll up your sleeves to build the plane while we’re flying it, we want to hear from you.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B new-logo sales experience, preferably selling a technical product or service at an API-first company, with a record of top performance.
  • A proven track record of leading complex, multi-party, consultative sales processes from inception to close, including negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to understand complex technical problems, position Stripe solutions, and become a trusted resource for decision-makers across technology and finance organizations within software companies.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, along with a disciplined approach to customer relationship management hygiene, forecasting, and communicating weekly and quarterly sales metrics.
  • The ability to operate effectively in a highly ambiguous, fast-paced environment, with a strong interest in technology, a deep understanding of the space, and persistence when encountering internal or external blockers.
