Reports to: Finance & Operations Director
Stripe & Stare launched 8 years ago. We are a fast-growing, sustainable fashion business, known for making the most comfortable knickers in the world, from trees! Alongside our ‘flagship’ knickers, we also sell supremely comfortable PJs, bras, and other clothing layers. Our business is primarily e-commerce based, selling D2C in the UK and abroad, with a growing US market. Our customers also buy direct from our wholesale network partners including Selfridges and multiple independent boutiques in the UK and Nordstrom and Shopbop in the US.

Stripe & Stare is at a pivotal moment of growth. We are currently recruiting a Management Accountant to oversee and administer the full finance function. Reporting into the Finance & Operations Director, this is a great opportunity to be hands-on in all aspects of finance.

Key Responsibilities
- AP entry and AP payment runs
- AR import, entry and credit control
- Bank account postings and reconciliation
- E-commerce transaction reconciliation
- Monthly payroll processing
- Month end tasks including prepayments, COGs journal entries, prepayments and accruals
- Month end reporting actual versus budget
- Miscellaneous/ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Process improvement & streamlining
- Year end audit administration and liaison with external auditors
- Assisting Finance & Operations Director with budget and producing budget P&L and Cashflow schedules
- Ownership of all insurance policies
- Line management responsibility for the Finance Admin Assistant
Role Requirements
- Experience: Management Accounts experience. Retail, e-commerce & wholesale.
- Attitude: Highly organised, calm under pressure and obsessively detail focused. Thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Technical: Xero and Excel
- Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Desirable but not essential: Experience of working in SME/small team environment
