Stripe & Stare launched 8 years ago. We are a fast-growing, sustainable fashion business, known for making the most comfortable knickers in the world, from trees! Alongside our ‘flagship’ knickers, we also sell supremely comfortable PJs, bras, and other clothing layers. Our business is primarily e-commerce based, selling D2C in the UK and abroad, with a growing US market. Our customers also buy direct from our wholesale network partners including Selfridges and multiple independent boutiques in the UK and Nordstrom and Shopbop in the US. Role Purpose

The Head of Brand (Maternity Cover) will lead Stripe & Stare’s brand strategy and execution during a critical growth phase. This role manages brand positioning, storytelling, partnerships, and cultural visibility ensuring brand strength translates into commercial performance. Reporting into the Growth Director and working closely with the Founder/Creative Director, this role will shape how Stripe & Stare shows up in the world from campaigns and product storytelling to partnerships, social presence, and brand activations. This is a 12-month maternity cover role requiring a confident, decisive brand leader who can operate strategically while delivering at pace.

Stripe & Stare is a female-founded, B Corp underwear brand making underwear women actually want to live in. We’re famous for our world-class comfortable knickers, alongside feel-good bras and PJs designed for everyday joy. Think comfort without compromise, colour with personality, and a conscience built in - all rooted in sustainability and championing women, always. We are looking for someone incredibly proactive who can work effectively with a team across with an eye on positioning within all channels and communication from both a tone of voice and aesthetic lens. The business is in high-growth mode, investing in:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
    • Own and evolve Stripe & Stare’s brand positioning as the category-leading comfort brand.
    • Refine messaging frameworks across fabric, fit, sustainability, and emotional positioning.
    • Ensure consistency across paid, organic, PR, partnerships and product launches.
    • Translate commercial growth strategy into brand-led execution.
  2. Partnerships, Talent & Cultural Relevance
    • Identify and secure talent partnerships aligned to the Stripe & Stare woman (35+, confident, values-led).
    • Lead influencer and collaboration strategy with commercial lens.
    • Develop scalable partnership frameworks vs one-off executions.
  3. Brand & Commercial Alignment
    • Work closely with Marketing (paid media & acquisition), Creative, Ecommerce, and Founder.
    • Ensure brand strategy supports brand awareness growth and commercial targets.
  4. Team & Ways of Working
    • Provide clarity of direction to a small but ambitious team.
    • Create structured campaign planning processes.
    • Elevate briefing standards between brand and growth.
    • Develop clear KPIs for brand performance.

Experience Required

  • 6 yrs+ in brand marketing, ideally within DTC, fashion, lifestyle or female-led consumer brands.
  • Experience in a scaling brand.
  • Proven experience leading integrated campaigns.
  • Experience working in founder-led environments.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels.
