Stripe & Stare is a fast-growing, BCorp certified sustainable fashion business. Known for making the most comfortable knickers in the world from trees, including the worlds’ first 100% biodegradable lace knickers. Barking mad right? We also sell insanely comfortable bras, layers and sleepwear.

Stripe & Stare launched 7 years ago. As well as a strong D2C UK & US business, we are available in numerous stores including Selfridges and online via Shopbop.

With ambitious growth plans, we are now looking for a key hire to join our product team. Hybrid working from home and office, based in either London.

The Role

  • Work with Senior Buyer in the daily running of the Product Department.
  • Support in Monday trade activity. Knowing and preparing best and worst products and assisting in trade meetings.
  • Creating, updating, and sending purchase orders & EANS to suppliers. Ensuring accuracy and sending on time.
  • Handling general administrative tasks for B&M team such as maintaining accurate product information, updating systems and reports with relevant data, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Management of samples including acquiring them from suppliers, preparing samples for meetings, sealing samples, storage and organisation.
  • Supporting with & eventually owning the approvals process, viewing approvals through commercial eyes, understanding the vision for the final product and raising concerns to Senior Buyer & Designer.
  • Meeting weekly with suppliers to ensure critical path is up to date & on time, advancing any issues and risks to deliveries to Senior Buyer & Merchandising team in weekly meetings.
  • Assisting in team meetings such as range builds, sign offs and strategies by preparing rails and samples, collating notes and issuing to the wider business and relevant teams.
  • Identifying and resolving issues related to orders, samples, or other aspects of the buying process.
  • Maintaining an understanding of emerging customer trends, competitor activities and completing new season competitor shop reports.

The Candidate

  • Experience in previous buying role is preferred but not essential
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills – We’re a fast-paced growing brand so organisation is key!
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A love Lingerie & Nightwear product is ideal!
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Very organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
