Aladdin Business Analyst - London - Asset Management - Strike IT

We are seeking an experienced Aladdin Business Analyst to support Aladdin change initiatives within a leading Asset & Investment Management organisation. The role will be embedded onsite at the Asset Manager and will play a key role in delivering Aladdin enhancements, integrations, and process improvements across investment and operations teams.

This position suits a hands-on Aladdin BA with strong front-to-back knowledge, capable of working closely with stakeholders across Investments, Operations, Risk, and Technology to ensure successful delivery.

• Act as a Business Analyst for Aladdin initiatives , supporting delivery across multiple workstreams
• Gather, analyse, and document requirements from Front Office, Middle Office, and Operations stakeholders
• Support Aladdin workflows across portfolio management, trading, post-trade processing, compliance, risk, and reporting
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories
• Support Aladdin configuration, including user entitlements, portfolio/group structures, compliance rule setup, and associated data dependencies
• Identify and assess data impacts relating to security master, benchmarks, and downstream reporting
• Assess change impacts, ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and control frameworks
• Support testing and UAT , including scenario definition, execution, defect management, and business sign-off
• Assist with release delivery, change adoption, and ongoing stakeholder communication

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst working extensively with BlackRock Aladdin in an Asset or Investment Management environment
• Strong understanding of Aladdin front-to-back workflows , with particular strength in Investments and/or Operations
• Hands-on experience working with:
  • Portfolio management and order workflows
  • Trade lifecycle and operational processing
  • Compliance rule definition and testing
• Solid understanding of Asset Management business processes , including investment decision-making, controls, and reporting
• Strong business analysis skillset: requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and functional documentation
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working onsite in demanding environments
• Exposure to Aladdin data concepts , such as:
  • Security and reference data setup
  • Benchmarks and indices
  • Data dependencies across risk, accounting, and reporting
• Ability to identify and articulate data impacts arising from Aladdin change
• Experience supporting data-related testing or validation activities is beneficial
