Role overview

We are looking for enthusiastic football coaches to deliver fun, safe, progressive sessions during Strike Academy holiday camps. You will coach groups of children aged 5–14, supporting the Lead Coach with high-quality delivery, energy and strong behaviour management.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging football coaching sessions and small-sided games aligned to the camp plan.
  • Create an inclusive environment where all children feel welcome and supported.
  • Manage a group safely: set clear expectations, encourage teamwork, and maintain positive behaviour.
  • Support registration, transitions, breaks and pick-up routines.
  • Set up/pack down equipment and maintain safe playing areas.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any welfare concerns immediately.

Essential requirements

  • Experience coaching or leading children in sport (football preferred).
  • Confident communication and positive behaviour management.
  • Reliable, punctual and team-focused.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to complete checks/training.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and references.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • FA/UEFA qualification and/or experience in camps/grassroots clubs.
  • Safeguarding/first aid certificates.
