Stride Recruitment are actively recruiting an ongoing or temp to perm HGV 2 Collections Driver to work out of our clients Environmental depot based in Suffolk, IP14 5AT with rates starting at 16.59 and 24.89 overtime over 37.5 hours with Inductions being held immediately.
Core details:
- 6am to 3.30pm daily, immediate induction availability and start dates.
- Monday to Friday, overtime rate of 1.5x rate over 37.5 hours or 7.5 hours across a 5 day week. Sunday and Bank Holidays paid at double time.
- Ongoing contract, weekly PAYE pay with opportunities for permanent employment after 6 months.
Core duties:
- Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
- Undertake all duties in a professional manner deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
- Use in-cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
- Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
- Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
- Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
- Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users.
What you will need:
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Driver CPC.
- Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds.
