Salary £19ph - £21ph At Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, we have an exciting opportunity for an Maintenance Electrician to join the team on a full-time basis. Your role will be to provide safe and efficient maintenance of the Electrical services and equipment within the hospital as directed. Main Accountabilities * Overall, you will ensure that the Hospital Building, Fabric, Plant, Services and Equipment are maintained to a high standard to ensure continued efficiency, safety and reliability and to safeguard the future long-term serviceability of the Estate as contractually required by Stride, Octagon and the Norfolk & Norwich NHS Trust. * To ensure safety at all times. * To assess all aspects of tasks at all times and take appropriate actions. * To know when to request advice or assistance. * To understand own limitations. * To carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning and maintenance to a wide range of services, plant and equipment within all areas of the Hospital as directed by Supervisors or Managers. * To carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance to a wide range of plant and equipment. * To work in accordance with all relevant Stride Policies & Procedures, Workplace Regulations and Best Practice Guidelines. * To always work in a safe and responsible manner with full regard for own and others' safety. * To attend work in compliance with the Computerised Time & Attendance System. * To actively participate in the Computerised Labour Control System, including accurate and punctual completion of Work Order Documentation. * To use personal communication equipment as requested. * To be prepared to attend work or work beyond expected finishing time in exceptional circumstances, as requested by Supervisors or Managers. * To communicate to Supervisors or Managers unrepaired faults or defects or requirements for spare parts. * To attend on-site and off-site training as required. * To be aware of how the Electrical Craftsperson Role influences Stride's Norfolk & Norwich Contract and the wider company objectives. What you will need for the role * Completion of a recognised appropriate Electrical Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program. * Appropriate City & Guilds and or BTEC certification. * Proven experience of working in a similar environment. * Knowledge and understanding of Electrical Building Services. * Good communication and customer service skills.
