Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based on-site at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, covering building services PPMs and Reactive Maintenance on a Long Term contract or temp-to-perm position on behalf of our client’s on-site Facility Management division.

Core Requirements:

  • As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you will be required to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance breakdowns.
  • The role will require you to do checks to anything from Water sampling and planned Mechanical maintenance to reactive plant remediations across the hospital alone or working with internal or outsourced colleagues.

Main Accountabilities:

  • To service and maintain building plumbing services and plant equipment in accordance with relevant standards, frequencies, and safe working practices.
  • To respond to reactive breakdowns, carry out fault finding and any necessary repairs.
  • Carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • To have a can-do approach to your work ethos.
  • Be able to work within a small maintenance team, consisting of a mechanical shift engineer and a semi-skilled shift engineer.
