We are looking for a Trainee Electroplating Operative to join a busy engineering workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace finishing processes. Full training will be provided, so no previous electroplating experience is required.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the electroplating team with day-to-day workshop tasks
- Loading and unloading components into processing equipment
- Assisting with cleaning, rinsing, masking, and preparation of metal parts
- Helping to apply protective metal coatings to components
- Learning how to set up and operate plating equipment safely
- Handling components using lifting equipment and approved methods
- Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
- Following clear procedures, drawings, and instructions
- Recording work using IQ Move
What we're looking for:
- A strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good attitude towards health & safety and following procedures
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, workshop environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing (helpful but not required)
