We are recruiting for an experienced Carpenter Multi to join a reputable maintenance and construction services provider operating across the South of England. This mobile position involves carrying out a range of carpentry and multi-trade repairs in domestic, commercial, and educational settings. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career with a supportive and well-established employer.

Please note: The successful candidate must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check and Security Clearance. The contracts you will be allocated to most are based in Fareham / Portsmouth & Southampton. There will be some time allocated to contracts based in Wider Hampshire / Horsham / Isle of Wight / Woking / Windsor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works across various sites.
  • Undertake carpentry works, including door fitting (fire doors included), first and second fix carpentry, and kitchen installations.
  • Complete associated works such as wall tiling, carpet tiling, plumbing repairs, and minor decorating.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults across multiple trades.
  • Deliver all works to a high standard, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a clean and safe condition.
  • Accurately record completed works, including photographic evidence where required.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within building maintenance or a similar multi-trade environment.
  • Competent in carpentry and at least two additional trades (e.g. plumbing, tiling, decorating).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry.
  • Full UK driving licence (mobile role).
  • Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check and Security Clearance.
