Are you passionate about Health & Safety and looking for a role where your work makes a real impact? A growing and forward-thinking consultancy is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their team on a permanent, home-based basis. Locations commutable to London will be ideal. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, people-focused professional to support a wide range of clients, primarily within the education sector, including schools and academies, with additional work across other commercial environments. In addition to this, you will also act as a Team leader looking after 4 other consultants. You will report into the Head of Health & Safety regarding your team's performance and progress, as well as acting as an expert in your area.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing hands-on Health, Safety & Fire guidance to a portfolio of schools and commercial premises.
- Conducting Fire Risk Assessments, general premises inspections, and creating tailored risk assessments and safety plans.
- Delivering clear, professional advice and reports, often as a lone worker, requiring confidence and self-motivation.
- Acting as a trusted consultant for clients, helping them meet safety standards and build safer environments.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum Cert IOSH membership (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a school or education setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Experience in a consultancy role is a plus - but not essential.
- Must be based in the London region, with flexibility to travel to client sites as needed.
