Stride Recruitment are urgently recruiting Grounds Maintenance Operatives to work within different areas of a Local Authority Grounds Maintenance Contract maintaining outdoor public areas on a Long-Term contract or permanent employment basis, on behalf of our public sector contractor clients' recent contract win.
Rate: Between £14 to £17 per hour, to be agreed upon point of hire based on experience.
Shifts: 7am to 4.30pm, Monday – Friday
Benefits: Van & Fuel Card, Weekly Pay or 12 week Temp to Perm, Immediate starts
3 separate role overviews:
- 1 x Sports Grounds Maintenance Operative (Must hold a Full UK Driving License) – which includes marking out sports pitches and tractor driving, spiking and pitch maintenance in parks, & all aspects of grounds maintenance works in and around Farnborough and Aldershot.
- 1 x Cemetery Grounds Maintenance Operative (Must hold a Full UK Driving License) - which includes grave digging & all aspects of grounds maintenance works in and around Farnborough and Aldershot.
- 1 x Grounds Maintenance (Must hold a Full UK Driving License) – in and around Farnborough and Aldershot.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Gardening activities including grass-cutting, shrub-pruning, hedge-cutting, planting and weed control.
- Driving and using a range of equipment to deliver horticultural standards that meet the requirements of the Contract Specification.
- Completing relevant paperwork in real time.
- Carrying out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
- Maintaining excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public.
Skills and Qualities:
- Must hold a Full UK Driving License.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Willingness to undertake tasks.
- A clean driver's licence is desirable.
- Previous relevant experience is desirable but not essential.
