As a Director/Partner at Stride Ventures, UK, you will play a key leadership role in building and scaling our UK and European presence. The role involves leading investment strategy, originating and structuring venture debt transactions, managing portfolio performance, and contributing to fund development.
- Define and lead the fundβs investment strategy in the UK and Europe, ensuring alignment with growth targets and risk parameters.
- Build and leverage a strong network of VCs, founders, advisors, and ecosystem partners to drive quality deal flow.
- Represent the fund at key industry events to strengthen market positioning and brand visibility.
- Use market intelligence to identify sector trends and guide investment focus.
Portfolio Oversight & Risk Management
- Provide strategic oversight of the portfolio, ensuring financial performance monitoring, covenant compliance, and proactive risk management.
- Partner with portfolio company leadership to support strategic and operational outcomes post-investment.
- Work with internal teams to refine credit risk frameworks, pricing, and monitoring processes.
- Support fundraising efforts, including LP outreach, diligence processes, and investor reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic capital partners.
- Contribute to fund structuring, geographic expansion planning, and regulatory engagement in the UK/Europe.
- Mentor and lead a team of investment professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative team culture.
- Support leadership succession planning and talent development across the platform.
