Stride Treglown is seeking a proactive and talented Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our Truro studio for a year-long placement starting July/August 2026.

The Role: As our fantastic Part 1 is moving on, we want to provide you with the same opportunities to use and develop your design and communication skills whilst working within a stimulating multidisciplinary environment. Architectural Assistants participate in the process of managing an architectural project, for example by:
- Architectural Design
- Preparing design proposals using Revit and hand drawn methods
- Contributing to the design process and co-ordinating detailed design information
- Contributing to specifications for construction work
- Preparing drawings, plans and documents for statutory approvals
- Contributing to design stage risk assessments
- Contract Management
- Making site visits
- Obtaining tenders for construction work
- Contributing to meetings and document preparation
- Assisting with co-ordinating associated professionals as required
- Assisting in obtaining and evaluating tenders and agreeing contracts
- Maintaining an awareness of the compliance requirements for the design, legal, statutory and professional requirements
Essential Skills: You will be Part 1 qualified with strong design flair, visual communication skills and an excellent portfolio. You should be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently. Revit skills are desirable, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
