We are seeking a candidate to join our Bristol team and contribute to a variety of projects across multiple buildings.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Creative Lead on significant commercial and private sector developments across multiple buildings.
- Respond to client needs and manage client expectations through detailed drawings and technical packages.
- Take responsibility for client meetings in the absence of senior team members.
- Deliver alternative design solutions with an open and motivated approach as part of a collaborative team.
- Apply strong interior design knowledge to address non-standard design challenges and embrace them as part of the project brief.
- Produce high-quality interior design information and detailed Revit models, with the ability to challenge alternative strategies where appropriate.
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of bespoke joinery packages and detailed design documentation.
- Collaborate on design reviews and coordinate with other consultants during design development and construction stages.
Qualifications
- Essential: an interior design or interior architecture degree, or an equivalent technical construction qualification.
- Strong client care skills with the ability to adapt to changing demands.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and build positive relationships.
- Confident leadership in the production of technical information, including Revit models and design documentation.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects through RIBA stages and advising on design solutions for large-scale developments.
- Ability to produce bespoke joinery packages and high-detail design solutions.
- Working knowledge of British Standards and BSA legislation.
- Ability to produce detailed specification documents and schedules, with excellent time management and task prioritisation.
- Ability to work autonomously and to oversee the workload of others, supporting more junior team members.
- Understanding of delivery requirements for projects under traditional contracts; capability to conduct formal design reviews with senior team members.
- Ability to provide professional guidance to other consultants during design development, technical design stages and on-site construction.
Desirable skills
- Commercial/private sector experience.
- Production of rendered visuals (Enscape). Sketch Up experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge and application of AI tools.
