Our vibrant Bristol studio seeks an ambitious Architect to lead an exciting, newly secured office project. This is your chance to take ownership and shape a significant project from the outset. You will join a talented workplace team that is currently engaged in high-profile work, including a major office campus development and an innovative deep‑green office retrofit, demonstrating our commitment to forward-thinking design and sustainability. This role could suit someone looking to step up to senior architect or Associate, where you can work with the sector and studio leaders to help grow our commercial work. Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Project Director and wider team, develop a design based on the Option Studies already completed, using robust and sustainable design solutions, leading the project from Stage 2 through to completion.
  • Assist in preparing statutory submissions, such as Planning, Building Regulations and Building Safety Gateways.
  • Working with the Project Director and wider team, negotiate with statutory bodies, write reports and complete statutory submissions (Planning Applications / Gateway submissions / Building Regulations etc).
  • Work with the Sector Director and team to grow our workload in this sector.

Requirements

  • A collaborative approach, and experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams.
  • All‑round experience from concept to delivery.
  • Experience designing and delivering offices or other commercial projects.
  • Excellent communication skills – including drawing and presentation skills and the ability to explain a design idea and evolution of a concept.
  • Retrofit experience and enthusiasm an advantage.
  • ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification UK experience.
  • Two years’ experience using Revit as prime software.
