Are you an experienced Architect looking for your next challenge with a progressive and supportive employer that values People, Planet, and Purpose? We are offering an opportunity for someone eager to join our growing Winchester team.

About this practice: Stride Treglown is an employee‑owned architectural practice and certified B Corp®. Since 1953, we’ve been clear that great design requires a human approach, deep local knowledge, and specialist expertise—all backed by verified results. We're now one of the UK's largest architectural practices, with 300+ specialists in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, masterplanning, town planning, and graphic design. Across 9 UK studios, we’re embedded in the communities we live and work, bringing imagination and flair to every project—with the technical proficiency to deliver what we design.

We are seeking a technically experienced, delivery‑focused Architect to join our Winchester studio. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully running projects and leading teams, alongside the ability to mentor and support the development of junior staff. Knowledge in Revit is highly desirable, and the successful candidate will be expected to actively engage with Revit and utilise it to support our BIM processes and wider digital workflows.

You will have:

  • A desire to create and deliver great buildings.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary team—building rapport and creating positive relationships.
  • Experience of working autonomously when required, with the right support.
  • Ability to provide professional guidance to design and construction teams.

Essential skills:

  • 5+ years post‑qualified (ARB) experience working in a high‑quality, design and delivery‑focused practice.
  • Good interpersonal skills, including an understanding of the sensitivities when communicating with and presenting to clients.
  • Ability to balance workload, as the role will require you to focus on more than one project at a time.
  • Demonstrable experience of collating and organising technical information, preparing drawings and documents (technical detailing will be crucial), and report/spec writing.
  • Ability to contribute to design‑stage risk assessment.

What we can offer:

  • Part (minimum 80% full time equivalent) or full‑time hours.
  • Mentoring, with the opportunity to develop team‑leadership skills and responsibilities.
  • Flexible work environment.
  • A comprehensive benefit package.
  • A contemporary working environment in an excellent location.
  • A friendly, open and caring culture.
