b Overview /b p In this role you will lead the development of a new regional Construction Liability proposition, building and owning the SME and commercial book across UK regions. You will be the principal technical underwriter for Construction Liability, working with brokers and internal colleagues to shape terms, pricing and coverage as the portfolio grows. You’ll collaborate with a regional business development team to secure opportunities and help launch the proposition from inception. The role offers influence over appetite, policy wording considerations, and the path to a credible regional offering within an established Construction and Engineering portfolio. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Underwrite new SME and commercial Construction Liability business across UK regions /li li Assess risks, price renewals, and set terms and conditions /li li Develop and nurture relationships with brokers to build a sustainable regional portfolio /li li Support the Construction Liability proposition from launch and contribute to policy wording and extensions /li li Collaborate with regional business development colleagues to identify and convert opportunities /li li Help shape appetite and underwriting approach as the book develops /li li Build strong broker relationships across Midlands, North West and wider regional market /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Established Construction Liability underwriting experience /li li Comfort underwriting Employers Liability and Public Liability exposures within construction risks /li li Ability to review policy wording from an underwriting perspective and identify extensions or improvements /li li Ability to take ownership and work collaboratively with brokers and internal teams /li /ul ul li collaborative mindset /li li strong relationship-building with brokers /li li commercially focused decision-making /li li Construction Liability underwriting /li li Employers Liability (construction) /li li Public Liability (construction) /li /ul
