Salary: Circa £50,000 + benefits Overview We are seeking an experienced Schemes Underwriter to join a growing Managing General Agent (MGA) within the UK insurance market.
This role focuses on the development, management, and profitability of delegated authority schemes, working closely with brokers, capacity providers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Underwrite and manage a portfolio of delegated authority schemes in line with agreed underwriting guidelines and capacity provider requirements.
Assess risk, pricing, and coverage to ensure profitability and compliance with underwriting strategy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners, and insurers to support scheme growth and retention.
Monitor scheme performance, including loss ratios, trends, and exposures; take corrective action where required.
Collaborate with capacity providers on bordereaux reporting, audits, and performance reviews.
Support the development and launch of new schemes, including product design, rating structures, and underwriting frameworks.
