We are working with an exciting MGA business who have enjoyed double digit growth in recent years and now control over £110m GWP. They are looking to appoint a commercially minded Trading Underwriter for their London office to focus on new business development and broker engagement.
This is a highly visible role where you will underwrite across a varied commercial portfolio, build strong broker relationships, and play a key part in driving profitable growth.
The Role:- Identify and convert new business opportunities working in partnership with key broking partners.
- Utilise the strong business proposition and significant underwriting empowerment to trade effectively to leverage new business opportunities.
- Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunity by working closely with brokers to educate them on underwriting appetite and a strong understanding of upcoming renewal business.
- Mentor and develop less experienced members of the team to upskill and improve knowledge and understanding of their roles.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers and become a broker's first choice when looking to place new business.
- Minimum 2 years' commercial underwriting experience (Property & Casualty).
- Good track record of new business underwriting and a strong drive to succeed.
- Confident communicator with solid decision-making skills and a willingness to go the extra mile.
- Salary circa £45,000 plus bonus.
