What the role looks like
You will handle major and complex commercial property losses from first notification through to settlement, acting as the technical lead on your own claims. You will be visible in the market, confident with clients and brokers, and comfortable taking ownership of the claim strategy from day one.
- Manage a portfolio of major and complex commercial property claims across the South West
- Investigate losses thoroughly and produce clear, well-reasoned reports
- Review policy cover, establish quantum and drive claims to conclusion
- Appoint and manage experts, surveyors and other specialists as needed
- Agree interim payments and final settlements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers and policyholders
- Deliver a high technical standard while keeping service and communication sharp
