Run your own region. Build your team. Shape strategy. Deliver results. A major international insurance brokerage is creating a Regional Managing Director role for the Yorkshire region, likely based in Leeds or nearby. This is a senior position with autonomy, resources, and clear backing — part of a wider UK growth plan.
You’ll lead the expanding Midlands corporate insurance proposition, recruit and develop your team, and decide how to deliver growth in a supported, structured way. The firm has big plans for the UK over the next few years. Growth is expected to be rapid, well-resourced, and highly visible — this is your chance to be part of that trajectory early.
What’s in it for you:
- Autonomy – run the Yorkshire region day-to-day, make decisions close to the market, and shape strategy
- Team – recruit and lead your own brokers and client managers
- Platform – access to a broad range of products, strong global backing, and technology to support advice-led, risk-focused work
- Reward – competitive salary, meaningful bonus, and longer-term incentives
- Support – part of a wider UK plan with other hires and resources in place, not a solo build
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the Yorkshire corporate insurance proposition from the front
- Target mid-market and upper mid-market clients (£25k+ fees or commission)
- Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team
- Drive disciplined growth while maintaining governance and risk standards
- Represent the business with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders
Who this will suit:
- Experienced in mid-corporate insurance
- Used to leading or building teams
- Comfortable balancing growth with risk and governance
- Either an established senior leader or a high-performing director ready to step up
- Credibility, measured judgment, and long tenure are valued more than job-hopping. This role is supported, but responsibility rests with the person in the seat.
