Managing Director - Commercial Insurance Broking
Leeds
£50m GWP - 35 staff - Package dependent on experience
You will take responsibility for an established cross-class commercial insurance operation controlling approximately £50m GWP, supported by a team of around 35 people.
This is a substantial leadership position with the authority, resources and financial incentive to make a measurable difference. The portfolio and infrastructure are already in place, but there remains considerable scope to improve efficiency, attract talented brokers and develop new books of business.
The opportunity
You will have overall responsibility for the commercial performance, people and direction of the Leeds office. Your remit will include:
- Protecting and developing the existing £50m GWP portfolio
- Leading, supporting and retaining a 35-person broking team
- Setting a clear strategy for sustainable organic growth
- Strengthening key client, insurer and introducer relationships
- Recruiting proven insurance professionals and supporting book transfers
- Maintaining strong technical, operational and regulatory standards
Who this could suit
You may already be a Managing Director, Regional Director or senior commercial insurance leader with responsibility for people, clients and financial performance.
You will need credible cross-class broking experience, sound commercial judgement and the ability to lead an established team without creating unnecessary disruption.
