Job Description
We are delighted to present an opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler to join a well established Insurance Brokers based in Alcester. Working as a Claims Handler within a very experienced Property team, you will be experienced within dealing with large corporate clients as well as smaller SME companies. This role is suitable for somebody with previous experience of working as a Claims Handler for an insurance brokers, looking to make a step up into dealing with larger claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage claims predominantly consisting of Commercial Property, Motor Fleet, and EL/PL claims.
- You will be responsible for your own caseload with cases of varied complexity and values.
- Maintain an efficient diary system for claims and ensure follow-ups are conducted as needed.
- Provide claims information and reports to the broking department and clients as required.
- Acknowledge new claims to both clients and insurers, keeping clients informed throughout the process to ensure the best outcomes.
- Generate claims MI and reports when required.
Experience & Skills:
- You will be an experienced Claims Handler, whilst it's preferred you have commercial experience, we can also consider those from a personal lines background providing you have previously worked within Property Claims.
- You will demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills to ensure the best outcome for your clients.
- Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a natural ability to problem-solve and multitask.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
This role will be based within their office in Alcester 3 days a week, with working from home 2 days a week allowed. To be considered you would need to be able to commit to commuting to the office 3 days a week minimum.
