An opportunity for an experienced Account Director to ‘level up’ in all areas – from the proposition and service you’ll offer your clients, through the way you’re rewarded and managed and into the progressive environment you’ll work in. You’ll join a commercial insurance broking business with a compelling story; the firm is innovative and amongst the fastest-growing in the UK – all built on a foundation of quality advice and exceptional service.
Due to growth, the firm is seeking Senior Executives/Directors/Managers in Manchester to manage key regional clients. The role is a hybrid of client management and retention alongside strategic business development within target industries such as specialist engineering, manufacturing, technology, construction, real estate, energy, renewables, creatives, life science, private equity, leisure, and corporate retail.
The setup allows the Account Director to focus on clients and prospects - supported by allocated account handlers for admin and servicing, dedicated claims resource in each office, plus regional and national broking/placement colleagues to ensure the proposition is a winning one. Homebased, with regular office attendance you’ll work with clients paying at least £5,000-£10,000 fee or commission income – this is a minimum but certainly not a maximum! You’ll be targeted on growth of your book by 10%, with bonus on an increasing trajectory from there. A business development team is in place to provide prospect opportunities, leads and appointments. This role offers the chance to be part of a successful and growing business, providing career advancement within the regional and national structure.
The Firm is showing double-digit growth for consecutive years. It is part of a larger international group but operates autonomously in the UK. The hands-on leadership team is visible and actively contributes at ground level. The best of both worlds – significant financial backing and market influence, in a team environment where every individual’s success is recognised and rewarded.
Rewards:
- A base salary of £60,000-£90,000, potentially negotiable for exceptional applicants
- Company car or allowance
- A new business bonus of up to 25% with no threshold
- A growth bonus of up to 50%
- Matched company pension contributions, private medical, income protection cover, and additional flexible benefits
- Full support for insurance qualifications and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in terms of time and money
You:
- A Senior Account Executive or Account Director looking to keep learning, developing and furthering their career.
- Solid client-facing experience and a track record of winning and managing commercial insurance clients.
- While ACII or progress towards it is beneficial, experience counts for at least as much.
