As the Underwriting Manager:
- You'll play a key role in underwriting complex Commercial Combined risks within appetite and authority.
- You'll work closely with your team, helping to lead, coach and develop their underwriting skills
- You'll contribute to building and managing broker relationships across the region, focusing on quality, collaboration and continuous improvement
- You'll be acting as a technical referral point and supporting portfolio performance
The successful Underwriting Manager candidate will have:
- Experience in Commercial Combined, Property & Casualty or Mid-Market underwriting
- Skills in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
- Proven broker relationship and trading experience.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to share ideas
- An organised, thoughtful way of working
- A commitment to delivering great outcomes for customers and colleagues
The Underwriting Manager will get:
- Annual salary £75,000 for the right candidate
- Excellent Performance related bonus.
- 27 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell annual leave
- Generous pension with 7.5% employer contribution as standard, which can be matched up to 12% with your input.
