The company is an established UK insurance broker with offices in Stockport seeking a development-focused Account Executive to join their growing team. The company specialises in mid to large commercial business across a wide range of sectors and is known for its professionalism, market expertise, and exceptional client service.
Your role is an excellent opportunity for an insurance professional looking for a new and rewarding challenge within a respected and expanding brokerage. You will win new business cases, engage new clients, and utilise your network and market knowledge to grow and maintain your book. There are genuinely outstanding financial incentives for doing so. This role would suit an insurance professional with exposure to commercial insurance products as well as experience in new business/sales.
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, largely through your own prospecting, whilst occasionally working with leads from internal teams.
- Manage the full client journey from introduction to renewal, supported by an experienced account handling team.
- Focus on building long-term client partnerships, negotiating competitive terms, maintaining compliance, and achieving realistic income targets.
We’re looking for:
- The ideal candidate will have cross-class commercial insurance experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven ability to generate and convert new business opportunities.
- A sound understanding of the insurance market and strong insurer relationships are essential.
- You should be tenacious and self-motivated.
- Industry qualifications (such as Cert CII) are desirable but not essential.
